Downtown St Petersburg's 37th Annual Sunrise Sale and Pajama Party, presented by the St Petersburg Downtown Business Association (stpetedowntown.biz), will be held throughout the city on Saturday, July 17th from Sunrise (6:43am) until 2:00 pm.
For 35 years, the Sunrise Sale was held mid-week in July. Well, times "they are a 'changin'", and since most of our clientele work during the week, or can't go shopping and STILL get to work on time - we CHANGED last year's sale to a SATURDAY and it was HUGELY successful! Now, there is NO excuse NOT to get downtown, save some money and even shop for holiday gifts EARLY! So, roll out of bed and into our famous downtown shops for a great morning of fun and fantastic deals!
Look for the bright yellow flags by each participating store and bunches of yellow and orange balloons at each locatation! Participating stores will have maps and a listing of each business.
This highly anticipated event will feature:
- St Pete's largest Pajama Party
- More than 30 vendors in the BayWalk Plaza
- Amazing deals from all the downtown merchants, announced throughout the day
- Great music courtesy of DJ Bones
- Arts and Crafts Vendors
- Delicious food
- "Fish and Cut Bait" Contest with the opportunity to win lots of prizes
- Coloring Contest winners announced at 2pm
Come in your jammies and enjoy the fun all around downtown!

Pajama Program joins the Sunrise Sale
The Pajama Program was introduced to Saint Petersburg a few short years ago with the goal of locating various “Receiving Organizations” where children in need are living, such as shelters and group homes, while organizing local pajama drives and events to provide those children with new pajamas and new books.
Look for us at the Downtown Business Association's 37th Annual Sunrise Sale and Pajama Party July 17th at 6:43 AM, downtown St. Petersburg. Bring NEW pajamas and/or books to donate to the Pajama Program to the following locations: Being (4th Street location), Bernie & Sons Jewelers (in their new location on Beach Drive), City of St. Petersburg tent (outside of Chicco's at BayWalk), Florida Craftsmen (Central Avenue), Good Night Moon (across from Herman Home in BayWalk), or Talk of the Town (Second Avenue).
WEAR your jammies to the Sunrise Sale and receive extra discounts or gifts from participating merchants!
For further information, contact Susan Robertson, Advertising & Promotions Manager of The Pier; past president of the Beach Drive & Downtown Business Assoc. She may be reached at 727.821.6443, Ext. 18.
